These terms cover the software sold by Layer 8 Threads, a sole proprietorship in the United States, contactable at layer8threads@gmail.com.

What you are buying

A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension, for as long as it works. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel and nothing that renews.

One licence covers one person, on as many of their own computers as they like. If you need licences for a team, email us.

What you may not do

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the extension.
• Share your licence with other people.
• Use it to extract data you do not have the right to extract. What you are allowed to take out of a system you have access to is between you, your employer, and whoever runs that system. That responsibility is yours.

Updates

Updates are included at no cost for as long as we maintain the extension. We may stop maintaining a product; if we do, we will say so on this site and the version you have will keep working.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe through ExtensionPay. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you live. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Warranty

We have tested these tools and we stand behind them, which is why the refund policy is what it is. But software is sold as-is: we cannot promise it works correctly on every website, in every browser version, with every data format.

Check your exported data before relying on it. Extracting data from a page that was not designed to be extracted from is inherently imperfect. Do not use output from this tool for anything consequential without looking at it first.

Liability

Our total liability for any claim relating to these tools is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost or corrupted data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits. Where that is the case, the limits apply only as far as the law permits, and nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Termination

You may stop using the software at any time by removing it. We may terminate a licence if it is being redistributed or shared in breach of these terms; in that case you get a pro-rated refund.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the business is established, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. The terms in force when you bought are the ones that apply to your purchase.
